He was predeceased by: his grandson Samuel Petersen. He is survived by: his spouse Beverly Jensen; his children, Wendy Hasche (Bruce), Sara, Alan and Wayne (Kelly); and his grandchildren, Bret Hasche (Dana), Ben Hasche (Elise), Megan Tvedt (Eric), Corey Petersen and Jeff Petersen.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent to the A. Richard "Pastor Pete" and Beverly Petersen scholarship fund at Augustana University or the Our Saviors Lutheran Foundation.
