With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard J. Kaffar of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, born in Worthing, South Dakota, who passed away on June 14, 2020 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kaffar and Amelia Kaffar (Kluin); his son Joel; his great grandchild Oaklyn Remme; and his siblings, John Kaffar, Gertrude Olson and Agnes Duvalis.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his children, Lucinda Remme (Lauren), Tim Kaffar (Barb) and Bradley Kaffar; his grandsons, Kris Kaffar, Travis Remme (Jessica), Mark Kaffar, Daniel Kaffar (Hayley) and Joel Remme; his great grandchildren, Gianna Kaffar, Miriam Kaffar, Benedict Kaffar, Magdalene Kaffar, Braxton Remme and Gavin Remme; and his sisters, Frances Ness and Lucille Lyons. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
