He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his children, Debra Lerdal (Peter Hoeger), Donald Lerdal (Darla Drew), Michael Lerdal (Apidee Julprapa), Bangkok, Thailand, Patty Van Aartsen (Steve), Sioux Falls and Peter Lerdal (Jill); his grandchildren, Nils, Erik, Soren, Drew, Mattie, Benjamin, Michael II, Dane, Jami, Heather, Luke, Nora and Marta; his siblings, Harriet Lerdal of Golden Valley, MN and Ronald Lerdal (Chickie); and his siblings-in-law, Virginia Mergen (Dick), Ruby Nelson (Dick) and Merlin Schmidt of Dell Rapids, SD. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
