With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rhoda J. Otten of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, born in Trent, South Dakota, who passed away on May 22, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Otten; her parents, Ole Anderson and Emma Anderson; her siblings, Merle Anderson, Helen Woodhouse, Warren Anderson, Donald Anderson and Byron Anderson; and her granddaughter Jenna Rae Hanneman.
She is survived by: her children, Grateful, Duane Otten of Los Angeles, CA, Pamela Hanneman of Sioux Falls, SD and Mark Otten (Suwa) of Garretson, SD; her sister Dorcas Youel of Dell Rapids, SD; her sister-in-law Dorothy Anderson of Yankton, SD; her brother Gordon Anderson of Sioux Falls, SD; her sisters-in-law, Viola Sall of Michigan and Christine Otten of Michigan; and her grandchildren, Shane Hanneman (Amanda Hayward) of Sioux Falls, SD, Jill Hanneman of Sioux Falls, SD, Tyler Otten of Sioux Falls, SD, Jodi Johnson (Jordon) of Baltic, SD and Kaylee Amundson (Dennis) of Colton, SD. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and a host of additional relatives and friends.
The family prefers memorials be directed to the SD Chapter – Alzheimer's Association.
