Ramona Eilleen Assid Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ramona Eilleen Assid in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on January 1, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Russell Hiscox and Pearl Hiscox (Almont); her brother Harry Nystedt; her children, Joel Assid (Kara), Tresa Knoff of Spirit Lake, IA and Merrily Aljets (Brett); her son-in-law Kevin Knoff of Sioux Falls, SD; her grandchildren, Alexie Gregory (Mike), Lisa Hanisch (Brandon), Danae Bair, Elissa Osburn, Eli, Jonah McFadden, Austin, A. J. Knoff (Suzy), Abraham Knoff (Ashley), Levi and Isaac Aljets of Vancouver, WA.; her great grandchildren, J. R. Mayer, Liam, Lily Gregory, Bailey, Taryn Hanisch, Ashton Knoff, Cadence Hanisch, Blake, Kevin, Isabella Knoff, Zine and Ziele Knoff; her grandmother Thresia Hiscox (Nystedt); and her brother Daniel Hiscox. She was also cherished by her children, adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who knew her as GG (great grandma).

Interment will be private at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Due to the pandemic, a Celebration of Life Service will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed in Ramona's name to Camp Judson.
