He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmo Dertien and Mildred Dertien (Kubal); and his siblings, Gary, Helen and Maxine.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Verba of Sioux Falls, SD; his pet Bud; his children, Mike Dertien (Darla) of Sioux Falls, SD, Donna Dertien and Curtis Dertien (Deanna); his grandchildren, Thomey Dertien Sioux Falls (Destiny Zoss), Brooklyn Dertien, Levi Dertien, Denise Dertien and Rick Dertien; his great grandchildren, Bentley Dertien of Sioux Falls, SD and Polly Dertien; and his sisters, Sandy Breukelman of Green Bay, WI and Dolly Kooima.
Memorial services for Ralph will be held at a later date due to the COVID pandemic.
