It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Broughton of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on November 22, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo DeWitt and Mabel DeWitt (Hall); her husband Adam Jr.; her children, Julie Wiekeraad (Lon) and Cal Broughton; her daughter-in-law Jonee Rose Broughton; her granddaughter Michele Pesicka; and her siblings, Rose Zahn, Bill and Mike DeWitt.
She is survived by: her children, Adam Broughton III (Moni), Les Broughton (Shirley), Steve Broughton (Dena), Eli Broughton, Dottie Hitzemann and Patty Mulder (Kent); her brother Todd DeWitt; and her sister-in-law Agnes DeWitt. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren with one more due soon; 21 great-great grandchildren.
