He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Kruse and Mattie Kruse (Krull); his son Stephen; and his siblings, Lee Kruse and Margaret Kruse.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Brosmire of Sioux Falls; his daughters, Sandra Kruse (Richard Lang) of Sioux Falls and Mary Aust (Keith) of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Nicole Aust of Sioux Falls, Troy Aust (Alanna) of Sioux Falls, David Ludlam (Sarah) of Charleston, SC, Heather Ludlam (Jared Hruzek) of Sioux Falls, Jessica Kruse of Lincoln, NE, Allison Morris (Hunter) of Cleveland, TN and Tiffany Headrick (Tanner) of Cleveland, TN; and his siblings, Barb Groseth of North Dakota and Daryl "Butch" Kruse (Alice) of Arizona. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
