He is survived by: his sons, Mark and Erik; his granddaughters, Lauren, Audra, Maddie and Mara; his wife Carol; his sisters, Ottilia Gill and Patricia Schure (Gerry); and his sisters-in-law, Carol Gaikowski (Tom), Vicky Gaikowski (David), Barbara Gaikowski (Philip) and Anne Fossum (Richard). He is also survived by Extended family and friends were important, especially when they visited him at their home on Big Stone Lake to share a meal, a bonfire, or hot dogs.
