It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Opal Van Der Werff (Sioux Falls, South Dakota), who passed away on March 18, 2021, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Der and Margaret Van Der (VanRoekel); and her brothers, Gary and Jack. She is survived by: her former husband Dan Thompson; her husband Norbert Batsch; and her siblings, Rob, Mary, Carol, Pat, Jim, Tim and Sandy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
