She was predeceased by: her parents, Vincent Howland and Mavis Howland (Thompson); her husband Marvin Steenholdt Sr.; and her children, James and Karen.

She is survived by: her brother Dennis; and her children, Marvin Steenholdt Jr. (Buffy) of Sioux Falls, SD, Todd Steenholdt (Brenda) of Leesburg, FL, Mark Steenholdt (Katie) of Bainbridge, GA, Pam Moulton (Albert) of Riverside, CA, Deb Smith of Centerville, SD, Sherrie Blachowske (Pete) of Brandon, SD, Dawn May and Tammy Graves (David) of Sioux Falls, SD. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
