He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Hartung and Pauline Hartung (Voigt); his brother Scott Hartung; his siblings-in-law, Carol Walz and David Macy; and also, Carl, Dorothy Walz, Roy and Cleo.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Hartung of Sioux Falls, SD; his siblings, Kris Shafrath (Jerry) of Hampton, IA and Chet (Kathy) of Meridian, ID; his siblings-in-law, Melvin Walz of Vermillion, SD, Marvin Walz of Vermillion, SD, Jerry Walz (Linda) of Vermillion, SD, Roger Walz (Avis) of Alcester, S. D., Al Walz (Bertha) of Centerville, SD, Don Walz (Ande) of Sioux Falls, SD, Janet Macy of Vermillion, SD and Janell Manning (Steve) of Tucson, AZ; and his pets, Jack and Sassy. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
