We are sad to announce that on October 13, 2024, at the age of 73, Michael John Schweitzer of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, born in Mobridge, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Schweitzer and Elizabeth Schweitzer (Senger); his former wife Margaret; and his grandson Brandon Wanttie. He is survived by: his children, Michelle McAlister (Terry), Jennifer Schweitzer (Travis Rubbelke) and Daniel Schweitzer; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Barnhardt (Liz), Megan Wanttie (Christopher), Kalynn Wanttie and Lewis Rubbelke; his brother Ed Schweitzer (Mary); and his sister-in-law Joann.
During COVID, he went above and beyond to make sure every resident at Sunnycrest had meals.
