He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Vetter and Helen Vetter; his wife Nancy Ann Koch; his parents-in-law, Leo and Lillian Koch; his siblings, Larry Vetter and Rita Linn; his brothers-in-law, Donald Koch, Earl Bihlmeyer and Jon Linn; and his nephews, Paul Vetter and Tony Hintgen.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Hofer (Scott) of Sioux Falls, SD, Mark Vetter (Nichole) of Spokane, WA, Timothy Vetter (Marie) of Grand Forks, ND and Molly Leyse (Jim) of Sioux Falls, SD; and his sisters, Ramona Bihlmeyer, Kathleen Hintgen (Larry), Terri Kief (George) and Mary Cotton (Ken).
Through the loss of his home, the restrictions that come with aging, the death of his wife, the loss of family members, and the immense loneliness of Covid, his heart stayed soft.
To the world, Michael Vetter's accomplishments may seem mundane and inconsequential, but for a man of simple ability, his contribution to the world was everything.
