It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Merlyn L. Plucker of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away at the age of 83, on April 17, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Plucker and Clara Plucker (Bultena); and his sister Deanne Bearden. He is survived by: his son Michael; his wife Mary Plucker; his siblings, Ronald Plucker, Bonnie Swenson (Paul) and Kim Plucker; his granddaughters, Lyndsay Plucker, Chelsea Plucker and Mikayla Plucker; and his great grandchildren, Nevaeh Metz, Demetrece, Marley and Millie Henderson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Miller Funeral Home Downtown Chapel (507 S Main Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57104). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the Children's Home Society or Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

“In the 55 years I knew Merle and the years I worked with him he always had a big smile and “let’s do this or that” look and we did do this or that. He was always doing something, planning something and ready to do what friends wanted to do. Merle was focused and besides being a great golfer, an accomplished outdoorsman I always marveled at how he had his desk clutter free. “I read it, act on it, file it or throw it away” and move on. In the 21 years we worked toy we had a happy sales family.”
