It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maxine Johnson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on October 20, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Schmeling and Myrtle Schmeling; her brothers, Arlyn, Lyle and Frank Schmeling; her husband Joe Lavender; and her son-in-law Matt Swalley.
She is survived by: her former husband Cliff Daily; her daughter Sandra; her husband Robert J. Johnson; her children, Dan Daily of Hartford, SD, Doug Daily (Barbara) of Horseshoe Bay, TX, David Daily (Barb), Sandy Jones (Vince) and Steve Lavender (Brenda); her stepdaughters, Sheri Herndon (Steve) and Rose Melton (Mark) of Clarksville, TN.; and her sisters, Carol Flores of Los Gatos, CA, Audrey Lentz (James) of Austin, TX, Donna Auby (Dick) of Hills, TX, Deanna Borns of West Bend, WI and Jan Rogerson (Jim) of Euless, TX.. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
