He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Jack" and Rose Gillespie (Ryan); and his siblings, Boyd, Clem, Jimmie Joe and Elaine.
He is survived by: his wife Mavis B. "Chris" Ugland; his children, Pam Gillespie of Sioux Falls, SD, Larry Gillespie (Kim), Patty Walter (Derrin), Joan Gillespie and Rob Gillespie (Renee); and his grandchildren, Sean, Matt (Kate), Terry, Julie, Sage (Christy), Shannon, Ryan (Molly), Meghan (Zach) and Patrick (Ashley). He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
