It is with great sadness that we announce the death of MaryLou Kern of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on March 16, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Clark and Garna Clark (Newman); her husband Gary Kern; her son-in-law William Hanson; her brothers, Glen Clark (Vergene) and Roy Clark (Marlene); her nephew Paul Clark; and her brother-in-law Lawrence Barthel.
She is survived by: her former husband James Lovro; her daughter Cathy Hanson of Black Hawk, SD; her grandsons, James Hanson (Jill) of Rapid City, SD and Curtis Hanson of Denver, CO; her great grandchildren, Jaxon, Joslyn and Jaclyn; her sister Irene Barthel of Kalispel, MT; and her stepchildren, Mary Wiele, Anthony Kern, Craig Kern and Kurt Kern. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.
