She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Mitchell and Celia Mitchell (Jaqua); her siblings, Beverly Frick, Ronald "Ronnie" Mitchell and Eugene Mitchell; and her son Mathew G. Thode.
She is survived by: her husband Gerald of Sioux Falls, SD; her children, Joyce Taylor (Tom), Terry O'Shea and Kelly O'Shea of Sioux Falls, SD; her daughter-in-law Nikki Thode; her grandchildren, Tazz Taylor (Maria), Tia Taylor (Jeff Christenson), Alysha Christie (Joshua), Shai-Lyn Thode and Isaiah Thode; her great grandchildren, Katrina, Madison, Kira, McKenzie and Waylon; and her great great grandchild Layton.
