She was predeceased by: her parents, Iver Hanger and Pearl Hanger (Schryver); her husband LeRoy "Bud" Donahoe; and her siblings, Barbara Greenough, Connie Fillmore and Robert.

She is survived by: her children, Jeff, Jeffery Donahoe (Pam) of Arlington, VA and Debra Bornitz (Ed) of Sioux Falls.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society in Mary Lou's name.
