It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary L. Burnette of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on September 11, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Dickerson Sherwin and Olga Sproesser Sherwin; her husband Robert Burnette; her sister Sally Sherwin Walsh; her parents-in-law, Flora and Winslow Burnette; and her great grandchildren, Megan Jo Gulickson and Josephine Rose Goldstine.
She is survived by: her children, Shawn Gulickson (Rex), Winslow Burnette (Janice Henrikson) and Robert Burnette; and her grandchildren, Sasha, Rex, Stacey, Sara, David, Christopher and Kelsey. She is also survived by her ten great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society, or Calvary Cathedral Choir.
