She was predeceased by: her son Thomas Smook; her parents, Milton Thomson and Frances Thomson (Hartsook); and her siblings, Robert Thomson, Ethel May, Dona, Rose and Ruth.
She is survived by: her husband Joe Smook; her children, Sue Clausen (Steve), Doug Smook (Peggy) and Teri Shaw (Mark); her daughter-in-law Ellen Smook; her grandchildren, Heather Behrens (Greg), Brittany Christensen (John), Cortney Platter (Nathan), Rachel Shaw and Brady Shaw; her great grandchildren, Avery and Isabel; and her sister Joyce Lott (Homer).
