He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Sturing and Cornelia Sturing (Stam); his sisters, Marcia Hoover (Mark) and Marla De Jager; and his mother-in-law Bette Bergert (Butch).
He is survived by: his wife Janice Burgers of Colton; his children, Matthew Sturing of Ames, IA, Rachel Halverson (Larry) of Brandon, SD and Jonathan Sturing of Sioux Falls, SD; his granddaughters, Anna and Bethany Halverson; his siblings, Bernard Sturing (Ruth), Judith Hol (Carroll), Janice Van Wyk (Rod) and Stanley Sturing (Melody); his brother-in-law Jack De Jager; and his parents-in-law, Judi De Jong (John), Mitchell Burgers (Jan) and Alan Burgers (Sandra).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be donated to Community Reformed Church or PanCan - Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
