He was predeceased by: his brother Don Westra (Maryjane) of Fergus Falls, MN; his parents, Sam Westra and Johanna Westra; and his wife Myrna Hughes. He is survived by: his children, Mike Westra (Robin) of Windsor, CO, Mitzi Westra (Frank Felice) and Marty Westra (Jeanette); his brother Eldon Westra (Marcia) of Sioux Center, IA; his grandchildren, Samantha Westra, Jessica Westra of Sioux Falls, SD, Sam Westra (Gwen), Laramie and Annie Westra; and his great grandchildren, Elijah, Kamauri, Zavion and Aaliyah Westra.
Marlin was a rare, genuine, kind soul who deserves to hear from God, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Due to the pandemic, there are no plans for a funeral service at this time.
Marlins family asks that no flowers be sent at this time, since the service will be at a later date.
