Marlene L. Turk Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 12, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Marlene L. Turk of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Hestness and Ruth Hestness (Olson); her former husband Jerry Wagner; her siblings, Kay Pitt (Hestness) and Robert Hestness (Bob); and her sister-in-law Diane Hestness.
She is survived by: her husband Frank Turk, Sr.; her brother Richard Hestness; her sister-in-law Connie Hestness; and her nieces and nephews, Frank Turk Jr. (Rosa), Marianne Doremus (Erik), Michael Turk (Brenda), Julie, Laura, Valerie, Susan, Deborah, Stephen, Jeffrey, Mark and David.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Peace Lutheran Church (5509 W 41st St, Sioux Falls, SD 57106). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 4:15 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Gallaudet University (800 Florida Ave NE, Washington, DC 20002).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National Association of the Deaf Youth Leadership Camp Alumni Foundation and Iowa School for the Deaf.
