With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marion I. Bonnstetter of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, born in Milford, Iowa, who passed away on May 28, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gerdes and Ida Gerdes (Kruse); her husband James; her siblings, Elmer Gerdes, Don Gerdes and Helen Friedrichs; and her grandson Christopher Bonnstetter.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis Bonnstetter (Cathy) of Morgantown, WV, Steve Bonnstetter of Sioux Falls, SD, Gene Bonnstetter (Jinky) of Sioux Falls, SD and Lori Beers (Mark) of Sioux Falls, SD; her grandchildren, Katie, Caitlin, Courtney, Evan, Brittany, Tessa, Alex, Tanner and David; her great grandchildren, Anthony, Grayson, Lucas, Elijah, Elsie, Jude and Hannah; her brother Leon Gerdes (Red); and her sister-in-law Stella Swanson. She is also survived by mom, and of her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers and donations, the family requests donations be made to the Dougherty Hospice House.
