It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lowell James Hyland (Sioux Falls, South Dakota), who passed away on March 22, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred and Emma; and his siblings, Darlene Earl, Loren and Robert.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Nordland; his children, Becky (Dennis), Jill (Larry) and Jim (Joan); his grandchildren, Maria, Lauren, Katelyn, Sarah, Anna, Abby and Jacob; his great grandchild Henry; and his siblings, Duane, Shirley (Bill) and Diana (Jim). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to the Special Olympics South Dakota or to the South Dakota School of Medicine.
