He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferdinand Stubsten and Mary Stubsten (Ramse); his siblings, Ferdy Stubsten, Sanna Rist (Richard) and Norma Bergin (Ed); and his nephews, Dave Reit and Richard Reit.

He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Carolyn Mittendorf, Larry Reit (Karen), Loren Reit (Denise), Kevin Reit (Jayne), Royce Reit (Marian), Judy Ford (Wayne) and Craig Snelling (Deb).
