He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Sorensen and Engrecia Sorensen (Jensen); and his siblings, Dennis Sorensen and Betty Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Sorensen of Sioux Falls, SD; his children, Dale Sorensen (Cindy) of St. Charles, MO, Doug Sorensen (Diane) of Brookings, SD, Cyndi Bergh (Troy) of Dakota Dunes, SD and Susie Sorensen of Sioux Falls, SD; his grandchildren, Scott Sorensen (Chelsea), Dana Chole (Eric), Tyler Bergh (Kerry), Trae Bergh (Taylor), Dillon Sorensen (Samara), Liza Jacobson (Jeff) of Brookings, SD, Amy Visser (Kelly) of Sioux Center, Brian Lathrop of Lennox, SD and Kelly Brozik of Mitchell, SD; and his brother-in-law Ordell Gustafson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Viborg, SD.
