He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Buchanan and Leycester Owens, Sr.. He is survived by: his brother John Elwood Owens (Donna); his wife Helen Outen Owens; his children, Leycester Owens III (Christine), Helen Owens Martinez (John Martinez) and Elizabeth Owens Parsons (Ronald Parsons, Jr.); and his grandchildren, Leycester IV, Cooper Owens, Virginia, Tindal Martinez, Charlotte and George Parsons.
