He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Lameyer and Ella Lameyer (Harnish); his wife Virginia Freeman; his siblings, Harold, Robert and Betty; his son-in-law Steve Wallenberg; and his granddaughter-in-law Julie Boyd.
He is survived by: his former wife Patricia Hawthorne; his children, Dale Lameyer (Sherry), Jamie Lameyer, Debra Wallenberg of Sioux Falls and Diane Lameyer-Houck (Bob) of Sioux Falls; and his stepchildren, Jerry Freeman (Mary) of Spirit Lake, IA and Jeffrey Freeman (Cindy) of Sheldon, IA. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
