He was predeceased by: his parents, William Tarbox and Maxine Tarbox (Brown); and his siblings, Barbara, Marlene and Allen.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Lambert; his daughters, Teresa Schmidt of Pierre, SD, Kathleen Mitzel (Edward) of Aberdeen, SD, Lisa Baye (Jordan) of Sioux Falls, SD and Diane Jansen (Steven) of Sioux Falls, SD; his brothers, Roger, Kenneth (Patty), Vernon (Christine), Rick (Theresa) and Daryl (Cleo); and his siblings-in-law, Kenneth Waege and Barb Tarbox.

Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (1501 W 26th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57105). A rosary was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials may be directed to Christ the King Catholic Church or Midwest Honor Flight.
