With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leroy E. Brandt of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, born in Avon, South Dakota, who passed away on September 6, 2021 at the age of 81. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Leroy E. Brandt to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Brandt and Helen Brandt (Radack); his stepmother Lillian; and his parents-in-law, Harold and Sophia Hornstra.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Hornstra; his children, Kevin Brandt (Luane) of Baltic, SD, Twila Van Laar (Dan) and Cheryl Pycha (John) of Blair, NE; his grandchildren, Ben Van Laar, Jonathan Brandt and Taylor Schramm (Eric); his great grandchild Amelia Schramm; his brothers, Byron Brandt (Goldie) of Canton, GA and Paul Brandt (Kathy) of Brandon, SD; and his sister-in-law Helen Weeldreyer (Dennis). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
While the family greatly appreciates the gift of flowers and plants, memorial donations are preferred, which will be distributed among LeRoy's favorite charitable organizations.
