It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leland Walter Hermerding of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on November 17, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Hermerding and Mathilda Hermerding; his wife Janice Timmerman; his son Rick; his siblings, John, Walter, Donald and Delores; and his son-in-law Dean Berg.
He is survived by: his children, Mike (Cindy), Jean Cady (Mark) and Patti Berg; and his sister Darlene Dammann (Don). He is also survived by pets but ended up caring for his daughters' animals.
Due to the current COVID health crises, the family will be holding a private service with interment next to Jan at Hills of Rest Cemetery.
The family asks that memorials be designated to Zion Lutheran Church Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association.
