He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Bachtell and Helen Bachtell (Stroman); and his brother Eugene "Doc" Bachtell. He is survived by: his wife Ladene Kenison of Sioux Falls; his sons, Kyle Bachtell (Kelly) of Hartford and Bret Bachtell (Sarah) of Harrisburg; his grandchildren, Taylor, Landen, Ava, Jakob and Easton; his sister Lori Hubert (Mark) of Elkton, SD; and his mother-in-law Donna Kenison.
