He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Kersey and Charlotte Bresee Kersey; his wife Marge Kaskie; his brothers, Roy and Harold; and his son Jim.

He is survived by: his daughters, Kathy Fiegen (Michael) and Patty Kuehn (Steve); and his daughter-in-law Kathy Kersey of Sioux Falls. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
