She was predeceased by: her parents, Catherine O'Neil (Carpenter) and Frank O'Neil; her siblings, Frank and Margaret Chochrane; and her siblings-in-law, Joann (Frank), Star (Mick) and Max Chochrane.
She is survived by: her brother Michael (Mick). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM and on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A wake was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the George Boom Funeral Home (3408 E 10th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57103). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Halladay Peterson Chapel at Dow Rummel Village Tuesday (1000 N Lake Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57104).
She received the Diocesan Distinguished Service Award (Diocese of New Ulm), Outstanding Faculty Award (St. Mary's University, Minneapolis, MN), Artisan of Peace Award from Pax Christi USA and was a Bush Foundation Leadership Finalist.
