With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karen M. Janssen of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, born in Worthington, Minnesota, who passed away on May 15, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford and Beatrice; her husband Charles Janssen; her daughter Lisa Abbas; her sister Beverly Vaske; her brother-in-law Mel Carlson; and her cousin Clayton Haberman.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Lisa; her son Bryan Janssen (Tina) of Parker; her son-in-law Chad Abbas of Sioux Falls; her sister Arlene Carlson of Minneapolis, Minnesota; her brother-in-law Jim Vaske of Surprise, Arizona; and her stepgrandsons, Andrew and Alec DeVries.
Memorials may be directed to the Church of St. Mary or the Sunday TV Mass provided by the Catholic Diocese of Sioux Falls.
