It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Karen Aljean Koole of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, born in Bellingham, Washington, who passed away on October 24, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Schenkel and Johanna Schenkel (VanderGriend); and her son David Koole. She is survived by: her husband Roger Koole of Sioux Falls, SD; her sons, Dan Koole (Kim) of Windsor, CO and Doug Koole (Sara) of Sioux Falls, SD; her grandchildren, Caden, Joy, Nathan, Isaac and Andrew; her sister Gayle Molenaar (Harold) of Tempe, AZ; and her siblings-in-law, Larry Koole of Grand Rapids, MI, Rose Pinkston (David) of Mesa, AZ and Jane Koole of Grand Rapids, MI. She is also survived by three nieces and three nephews.
Memorials may be given to Sioux Falls Christian School (6120 S. Charger Circle, Sioux Falls, SD 57108).
