She was predeceased by: her parents, Edmund Lakeman and Marjorie Bowen Lakeman; and her husband Darryl Matthies. She is survived by: her children, Jason Matthies (Erin) of Sioux Falls, SD, Tad Matthies of Sioux Falls, SD and Melissa Rehnelt (Brian) of Rochester, MN.; her grandchildren, Malea, Kade Matthies of Sioux Falls, SD, Rylee and Camryn Rehnelt of Rochester, MN.; and her siblings-in-law, Orville (Shirley) of Chancellor, SD and Eileen Johnson (Berdyene Bowen) of Sioux Falls.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Heritage Funeral Home (4800 S Minnesota Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57108). A celebration of life was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
