She is survived by: her parents, Sylvester Watts and Peggy Watts (Crouch); her former spouse Marlyn Van Tol; her husband Fred Carpenter; her friend Christian; her children, Stephanie Schmidt (Jordan) of Dell Rapids, SD, Justin Van Tol (Karla) of Sanborn, IA, Rebecca Miller (Ken) of Primghar, IA., Josh Carpenter (Kayla) of Sioux Falls, SD, Rachel Bigelow (Jesse) of Kasson, MN and Mark; her grandchildren, Kailyn, Kylie, Korbyn, Jaden, Dallas, Natalee, Lilee, Adelyn and Sawyer; and her sisters, Joann Powell (Lee), Rhonda Zweimiller (Roger), Sherrie Ferguson (Stan) and Patty Perkins.
