With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Josephine Dougherty (Sioux Falls, South Dakota), born in Deadwood, South Dakota, who passed away on July 21, 2019 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Dougherty; her parents, Robert Driscoll and Mary Louise Driscoll; and her siblings, Robert Jr. (Elinor), David, Kathleen Evans (Owen) and Mary Haig (Chuck).
She is survived by: her children, Jane Machado (Tata) of Omaha, NE, Mary McMullen (Jim), Tom Dougherty (Kareen), Katy Billion (John), Bobby Dougherty (Kara), Sioux Falls and David Dougherty; her grandchildren, Joey Machado, Jess McMullen, Mark McMullen (Caitlin), Maggie McMullen, Joie McMullen, Clare McMullen, Shannon Mollet (Jeremy), Sarah Dougherty, Tommy Dougherty, Jack Billion, Molly Billion, Matthew Billion, Sam Billion, Kathryn Dougherty, Natalie Dougherty, Addison Dougherty, Abby Beelen (Bobby) and David Dougherty; and her great grandchild Fletcher McMullen.
In lieu of flowers and in Jo's giving spirit, the family requests that memorials be directed to Sioux Falls Catholic Schools, Dougherty Hospice or South Dakota Alzheimer's Association.
