It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Marius Nelson (Sioux Falls, South Dakota), who passed away on July 22, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kermit Nelson and Bernice Nelson (Carlson); his sister Anne; and his pets, Alfie and Morgan.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Hess; his daughter Sara; his son-in-law John; his grandson James; and his sisters, Nancy Nelson and Kris Roberts (Pat).
John was active with the American Public Health Association, the South Dakota Public Health Association, and the National Kidney Foundation of South Dakota.
