He was predeceased by: his parents, Helmey Kittelson and Ella Kittelson (Grunning); and his sister Beverly Claussen. He is survived by: his wife Marcia Kittelson of Sioux Falls, SD; his children, John Kittelson of Houston, TX and Susan Doty (Jeff Miller) of Sioux Falls, SD; his grandchildren, Katherine, Jillian, Nicholas and Elizabeth; and his brothers, Desmond Kittelson (Linda) of San Antonio, TX and Karol Kittelson (Joan) of Yankton, SD. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be directed to the El Raid Shrine Children's Transportation Fund.
