He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sr. Marshall and Florence Marshall (Thomas); and his sister Emily. He is survived by: his wife Ethel Dawson; and his children, Jodi Fabisiak (Gary) of Elkhorn, NE, John D. Marshall (Sandy) of Rochester, MN and Jay Marshall (Heather Wells) of Garretson, SD. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
