He is survived by: his wife Joan M Ahlers (Varns); and his children, Patty (Ken Johnson) of Ankeny, IA, Steve (Susan), Scott (Sue), Theresa (Mike Sanders) of Lititz, PA and Jeff (Teri). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.
