She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Oster and Della Oster (Murphy); her daughter Mary Ellen; her granddaughter Claire Bruggeman; her sisters, Sharon Hart, Peggy Ullery and Betty Gile; and her siblings-in-law, Charles Bassing, Robert Bassing and Jean McMunigal.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph Eugene Bassing; her children, Barb Kelley (Denny Weber), Nancy Baxter (Tim) of Nisswa, MN, Tim Bassing (Barb) of Appleton, WI, Shirley "Anne" Bassing (Mike Jerome), Steven Bassing of Lake Brandt, SD, Theresa Bruggeman (John) of Sioux Falls, SD and Michael Bassing (Lisa) of Sioux Falls, SD; her brother Bob Oster (Charlotte) of Sioux Falls, SD; her brother-in-law Gale Hart of Sioux Falls, SD; and her children-in-law, Pat Bassing of Appleton, WI and Barry Kelley. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Christ the King Church, Avera Dougherty Hospice or the charity of the sender's choice.
