He was predeceased by: his parents, Milo Melcher and Evelyn Nelson Melcher (Osterberg); and his sister Marlys. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Bents; his children, Kelli Nelson of Sioux Falls, SD, Kristi Tomic (Nik) of Sioux Falls, SD and Scott Nelson (Danielle) of Sioux Falls, SD; and his grandchildren, Luka, Samantha, Jackson and Kaien.
