He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Hanson and Claire Hanson (Mellgren); his wife Jackie Hanson (Hartwig); his sister Karen Larson (Hanson); his brother-in-law Gerald Hartwig; his nephew Karl Hartwig; and his nieces, Cathy Claire De Laura (Larson) and Susan Harless (Larson).
He is survived by: his children, Jodi Hanson (Andy Vos) of Sioux Falls, SD, Jeff Hanson (Laurie) of Brush, CO and Joel Hanson (Robyn) of Gypsum, CO; and his sisters-in-law, Jan Ruppel (Rodney) of Beaumont, TX and Shoonie Hartwig of Roseville, MN. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
