With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Mary Solomon of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on September 21, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Wiffen and Maggie Wiffen (Parmenter); her husband Bernard Solomon; and her siblings, Muriel, Peggy, Joyce, Valerie, John and Spencer.
She is survived by: her pets, Maltese, Maggie, Molly and Jenny; her daughter Deborah "Sam"; her son-in-law Dennis Johnson of Green Valley, AZ; her son Barry; her daughter-in-law Carol Solomon of Sioux Falls, SD; her grandchildren, Melissa Mears (Tim), Steve McKay (Jana), Benjamin Solomon (Tricia), Robert Solomon (Samantha), Joseph Solomon (Meghan) and Charles Solomon (Katherine Bice); and her siblings, Joan (Mac) and Barry Wiffen of Sioux City, IA.. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Dougherty Hospice House, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Sioux Falls Area Humane Society.
